Pennsylvania, 1979. The costliest, most controversial highway project in state history becomes a magnet for protests, litigation, political corruption, bribery, blackmail…and murder. The lives, and deaths, of a strange cast of fellow travelers intersect in and around the troubled, but enormously lucrative, Interstate 476. Sometimes fate, God, the Devil, karma or some perverse combination thereof conspires to bring together a unique, volatile assembly of conflicted individuals and conflicting agendas at a moment in time, and all hell breaks loose. The Blue Route details one such season in hell.
